Welcome to the Rough Chowder website

Fronted by husband and wife team, Ian McIlroy and Miss Kitty, Rough Chowder have been homing their Cajun sounds around the pubs, folk clubs and festivals of the south coast, whilst amassing a following within the UK and European Cajun community through playing UK wide Cajun and Zydeco festivals. With added influences of blues, rockabilly and lounge, we combine a set of traditional Cajun and Zydeco music with ‘Cajunbilly’ to produce a highly danceable and infectious sound guaranteed to transport you to the bayous of Louisiana.
